2022-2023 LIHEAP & LIWAP Season

Income Guidelines for for 2022-2023 LIHEAP and LIWAP Seasons have been released.  If you could benefit from assistance with your winter utility bill, please contact your local West Central Community Action.

Job Opening: Utility Billing Coordinator

Woodbine Municipal Light and Power is seeking a Utility Billing Coordinator. This is a full-time position that will be the first point of contact within the office. Primary duties will include customer service, cash handling, bank deposits, and other duties associated with customer billing and meter reading. All candidates should uphold a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.

Requirements: High School Diploma, 1-2 years of cash handling experience, preferably in a business setting, and 3-4 years of customer service experience. Preferred: Associates Degree in Business or related field.

Starting wage is $16-$18 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Woodbine Municipal Light and Power is an equal opportunity employer and offers an excellent benefits package that includes health and dental insurance, paid holidays and sick leave (vacation to start after one year of employment), and IPERS.

2021-2022 LIHEAP Season

If you or someone you know could benefit from help paying for utilities, please contact West Central Community Action. They will help you set up an appointment to see if you may qualify for assistance. Please follow this link for more information and to see the income guidelines.

Woodbine Water Violation

Due to a sample not being turned in with enough time for testing, Woodbine Municipal Water received a violation.
